LA homes with pools for content shoots
Updated October 26, 2026 · For productions and creators working with adult performers aged 18+.
Pool scenes are one of the most requested looks for content shoots in Los Angeles. Right now 41 owner-approved homes on this site list a pool; 22 of them also list a spa and 20 list a view. Here's how to plan a pool shoot that goes smoothly.
Privacy first
Pools are usually outdoors and often overlooked. Ask the owner which sides are screened by walls, hedges or the house, whether neighbours' windows face the pool, and whether any part of the yard is off limits. Plan angles that never show house numbers, the street or neighbouring homes.
Light and timing
- Midday sun is harsh on skin and water; morning or late afternoon is easier to light.
- Dusk is when pool and landscape lighting look best; check which lights work and when they come on.
- Water reflects light onto faces and walls. Bring flags and diffusion.
Safety and the house
- Agree with the owner whether the pool and spa can be used, at what temperature, and who controls the equipment.
- Keep glass away from the pool, protect decks from stands and sandbags, and keep cables away from water.
- Have towels and robes ready for talent, and a dry route back inside.
- Leave the water as you found it; ask about cleaning if you use oils or props.
Questions to ask before booking a pool home
- Is the pool heated, and how long does it take?
- Is the spa working, and can it be used on camera?
- Are there any outdoor cameras, and will they be off?
- Can we shoot after dark, and are there noise limits outside?
