How to choose the right location for an adult shoot

Updated October 26, 2026 · For productions and creators working with adult performers aged 18+.

Great photos can sell a location that doesn't work on the day. Start from the content and the crew, then look at the photos. This guide walks through the questions that decide whether a space fits.

Start with the shot list, not the listing

Write down every scene and where it happens: bedroom, kitchen, shower, pool, living room, a themed set. Count how many distinct looks you need. A home with three strong rooms can beat a mansion where only one room suits the content.

Rooms and layout

Light and sound

Privacy and neighbours

Pools, balconies and yards can be visible from next door. Ask which outdoor areas are screened, and plan exterior shots so they never show house numbers, street signs or neighbouring homes.

Logistics

Owner approval is non-negotiable

Only shoot where the owner has approved adult production in advance, in writing, for the type of content you're making. Every location on this site is owner-approved for adult production; confirm the specific content and rooms when you inquire.
